Jered Weaver worked the final two innings in relief on Sunday night to lead the Angels to a 5-4, 12 inning victory over the Red Sox to force a Game 4.

The L.A. Times reports that Jered Weaver will make his final start before the postseason on Saturday, pitching against minor leaguers in an Arizona Instructional League game in Tempe in what manager Mike Scioscia called "a maintenance workout."

Jered Weaver will move up in the rotation and start tonight in place of John Lackey. However, Weaver doesn't figure to be sharp after missing more than a week to a finger injury.

Jered Weaver will start on Thursday for the Angels after being out of action since August 30th because of cuts to his pitching hand, according to the Orange County Register. Ill probably just rub some stuff on it before the game to roughen it up, Weaver said.
