The Marlins acquired reliever Rudy Seanez from the Royals in exchange for outfielder Abraham Nunez. Seanez will work middle relief.

The Royals called up Rudy Seanez from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday night. He was 2-1 with a 1.57 ERA and three saves in 24 games for Omaha. He will replace Curt Leskanic, who was released, in the Kansas City bullpen.
