Rudy Seanez will open the year in the Dodgers bullpen. He had a snappy 1.59 ERA in 11 1/3 innings, with 14 strikeouts against just two walks.

Rudy Seanez has yet to allow a run in 8 1/3 innings this spring. Seanez is pitching well enough that the non-roster invitee might push Elmer Dessens and his $1.7 million contract out of the bullpen, according to the LA Times. Dodgers officials have said they will take the best roster into the season, regardless of contracts.

Rudy Seanez has signed a minor-league deal with the Dodgers, according to the Denver Post. Seanez held a 4.92 ERA in 49 games for the Red Sox and Padres last season. He will make $700,000 if he makes the team and could make another $500,000 in incentives.
