Former Tigers' hurler and current Twins' broadcaster Jack Morris commented that Justin Verlander's shoulder has to be hurting because he's not extending his arm as he did last season, according to the Detroit Free Press. Verlander is 1-5, but recently stated that his arm feels great.

Justin Verlander lost his fifth game of the season on Saturday, as Detroit fell to Minnesota 4-1. Verlander surrendered four runs on seven hits over seven innings, with two walks and five strikeouts. Half of the damage came on a two-run homer by Craig Monroe.

Justin Verlander gave up six runs, seven hits and four walks in 5.2 innings of work on Sunday night. Verlander won his first game on Tuesday, but struggled with his command in the process. Nothing changed tonight as the right-hander has now allowed four runs or more in five of his six starts.

Justin Verlander finally delivered a positive outing. After four rough starts, the right-hander held the Rangers to six hits and one run over six frames on Tuesday night. Verlander picked up his first win of the year.
