Manager Joe Maddon told the Ray team website that it was "more than likely" pitcher Chad Orvella would start the season on the DL. Orvella has struggled with shoulder problems throughout spring work and won't break camp with the team. The one-time future closer of the Rays has little fantasy value.

Biceps tendinitis has kept Chad Orvella from throwing the past 10 days, and he hasn't appeared in a spring game since March 3, according to the Tampa Tribune. "It's nothing bad," Orvella said. "It's moving in the right direction, it's just taking a little long." Nonetheless, if he can't get back on the mound soon, he'll have a tough time being ready for the start of the season.
