Ambiorix Burgos, who was sent to Triple-A last Wednesday, is dealing with an elbow problem, according to the AP. "We're going to shut him down for a little while and give him some treatment," Randolph told the AP. "All I know is that he's not going to be pitching in the near future, but there's no diagnosis I can give you yet."

Ambiorix Burgos picked up the save against the Cardinals on Thursday, throwing a scoreless ninth inning while allowing one hit and striking out one. This may turn out to be insignificant, but it's at least possible that this is a sign that the Mets plan to use Burgos as their top setup man this year behind Billy Wagner.
