Manager Dave Trembley commented on reliever Matt Albers, according to MLB.com. Trembley said, "I don't think it's that he doesn't have the stuff to be a starter. I think it's just his value to us is as a long guy. I think if you use him on our club right now as a starting pitcher, you're opening up a hole in our bullpen that I'm not so sure we can fill right now. I just don't see that. I think he's very valuable what he's doing right now. he fits in rather nicely as a long reliever. I'm talking about the guys that we have up and coming in this organization that we have earmarked to be starting pitchers for us. I think this guy really complements those guys and really establishes a bridge to get to the guys in the eighth and ninth inning. He's almost like a sixth starter. But right now, I see his forte as being a long guy."

Matt Albers , Brian Burres, Hayden Penn, Garrett Olson, Radhames Liz, Lance Cormier and Jim Johnson are believed to be in the running, barring late trades or free-agent acquisitions. When fantasy managers face the same fifth starter dilemma at the end of the month, the decision should not include any of the names Baltimore skipper Trembley has in his hat.
