The Marlins ran through six pitchers today, but the pace for the 3-2 win over Philadelphia was set by RHP Josh Johnson , going 6 2/3 innings to allow just two runs (both earned) on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Making his first appearance since undergoing Tommy John surgery, Josh Johnson threw 87 pitches, 56 of which were strikes, on Thursday night. John didn't walk a batter, struck out six Dodgers, and allowed three runs over six innings.

According to MLB.com, Josh Johnson will make his 2008 debut on Thursday against the Dodgers and Chan Ho Park. Johnson pitched eight scoreless innings in his final rehab start for Double-A Carolina on Friday.

Josh Johnson threw eight shutout innings for Double-A Carolina on Friday night. He allowed five hits, walked two, and struck out seven. Johnson underwent Tommy John surgery on August 3, 2007 and has made five rehab starts.

Josh Johnson (elbow) start on Sunday at Double-A Carolina wasn't good enough for the team to activate him from the disabled list, this according to the Sun-Sentinel. Johnson worked 5.2 innings and gave up five earned runs on 11 hits with a walk and three strikeouts.
