Travis Buck, who is recovering from shin splints, said he did "everything" before Wednesday's game and felt fine, according to the SF Chronicle. He noted that "Everything" included running, hitting, throwing and fielding grounders. He will likely go on a rehab assignment in the next few days and could spend at least five or six days at Triple-A Sacramento.

Buck, who is recovering from shin splints, said he was not scheduled to run on Tuesday but he was going to field grounders. He likely will head out on a rehab assignment soon, one that is likely to extend past Sunday, the day he is first eligible to come off the DL.

After an awful start to the year, Buck has seven hits and four RBI in his last three games so you'll want to keep him active and hope he only misses this one game.

Travis Buck finally picked up his first hit of the year Tuesday, doubling in a run in the second while also adding a single later on. He finished with a 2-for-6 night at the plate, and while Buck is still batting just .074 on the year, that's certainly better than .000.

Travis Buck was on the bench on Saturday as the A's faced C.C. Sabathia as Buck is currently 0-for-18 with nine strikeouts. Buck is being counted on to provide a solid bat from the top of the A's lineup this season, and given the A"s dearth of top level talent, there would appear to be plenty of playing time coming his way to prove his worth at the major league level.
