"I saw him in Double-A; I saw his debut. I was concerned maybe we pushed him hard. He proceeded to strike out 13 in front of my eyes, and throw a no-hitter for five or six [innings]." Some speculate that Garza could be called up this week to start in place of Mike Smith on Friday. He could also be called up if Francisco Liriano is forced to go on the DL with an elbow injury. |

The Twins will likely call up Garza if Silva and Baker continue to struggle and they feel like they need help at the bottom of the rotation. Garza is 1-1 with a 3.46 ERA in two starts since being promoted to Triple-A Rochester earlier this month. |
