The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Joey Devine might not pitch the rest of the season after an MRI revealed he has a partial tear on the inside of his left hip flexor.

The Braves optioned Joey Devine to Triple-A Richmond on Tuesday to make room on the roster for newcomer Todd Hollandsworth, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Braves recalled Joey Devine from Double-A Mississippi on Saturday. Devine was the club's first-round pick in June. He worked 1.2 IP, giving up four runs off a 13th-inning grand slam.
