The Braves optioned Joey Devine to Triple-A Richmond on Monday. He had a 1.80 ERA in five games with Atlanta.

Joey Devine was optioned to Triple-A on Tuesday to open up a roster spot for Martin Prado. Devine was sharp in his brief stint in Atlanta, holding a 2.25 ERA in four relief appearances.

The Braves recalled Joey Devine from Triple-A on Friday to take the roster spot of Edgar Renteria, who was placed on the DL. Devine, who posted a 3.00 ERA in three relief appearances for the Braves earlier this season, will work in middle relief. Devine was once considered the Braves closer of the future, but there appears to be very little chance of that happening now.

The Braves optioned Joey Devine to Triple-A on Friday to make room on the roster for John Smoltz, who just came off the DL, according to Sports Ticker. In three relief outings with Atlanta this year, Devine holds a 3.00 ERA.

Joey Devine was optioned to Double-A Friday. Even with Mike Gonzalez out for the rest of 2007, the Braves apparently don't consider Devine part of the bullpen solution right now.

The Braves called up Joey Devine from Double-A on Tuesday, according to the AP. Devine, a former first-round pick, struggled with the Braves last season, holding a 9.95 ERA in 10 appearances last year. He'll work in middle relief for the big-league club.
