Miguel Montero is in the starting lineup on Wednesday night against the A's Joe Blanton. Montero, Randy Johnson's personal catcher, has been picking up some additional at-bats versus right-handed pitching.

Miguel Montero will be activated from the DL today in time for tonight's game against the Dodgers, according to the East Valley Tribune. Alex Romero will be optioned to Triple-A to make room on the roster for Montero.

Miguel Montero will likely come off the disabled list during the coming week, the Arizona Republic confirms. The backstop has been rehabbing a fractured right index finger.

Miguel Montero had played in six games of his rehab assignment entering Wednesday, according to the Arizona Republic. Manager Bob Melvin said Montero would need to catch nine innings in back-to-back games before he is ready to return. He was scheduled to catch seven innings on Wednesday and is expected to be ready to come off the DL before the end of the month. He is recovering from a fractured right index finger.

Miguel Montero is up to seven innings behind the plate in his injury rehab stint with Triple-A Tucson, according to MLB.com. Manager Bob Melvin commented that he would like to see Montero get between 30 and 40 plate appearances before being activated from the DL. He is recovering from a fractured right index finger.
