Jason Bergmann could be moved to the Nats' bullpen when Shawn Hill returns from the DL, according to the Washington Times. He is off to a poor start with a an 0-1 record and a 10.45 ERA over 10.1 innings, and his starting job could be in jeopardy if he doesn't turn it around soon. Jason Bergmann pitched two hitless innings and Georgetown on Thursday in the Nationals 15-0 victory, according to the AP. “You can’t approach it like this is Georgetown—they’re not good—because there are quality players getting drafted out of high school every day the same age as these guys,” Bergmann said. For one day the Nationals were good. Last season Bergman was a fairly average hurler with 86 K and 42 BB in 115.1 innings, but he allowed less than eight hits per nine innings and posted a 1.22 WHIP, so he does have some potential to be a bottom tier starter this year.
