The A's recalled J.J. Furmaniak from Triple-A Sacramento Monday to replace the injured Travis Buck on the roster. Furmaniak is hitless in five at-bats this year with the A's.

J.J. Furmaniak was called up from Triple-A Friday to take the roster spot of the injured Eric Chavez. He was hitting .291 with 15 homers, 49 RBI and 21 stolen bases in 101 minor-league games. He could see some action at third base with Chavez sidelined.

J.J. Furmaniak was returned to Triple-A Wednesday, as the Athletics got Milton Bradley off the disabled list. Furmaniak only picked up one at-bat in his brief stay with the club.

The A's recalled J.J. Furmaniak from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday. He was hitting .275 with 11 homers and 36 RBI in 65 games there this season and isn't likely to see much action with the A's.
