Scott Mathieson will get another start on Tuesday for the Phillies. However, if he doesn't perform well, he likely will be yanked out of the rotation, according to the Philedelphia Inquirer. He's 1-4 with a 7.23 ERA at this point, and the club has Gavin Floyd, Eude Brito and Brian Mazone pining to be called up from Triple-A.

Mathieson, one of the team's top prospects, was 6-2 with a 3.05 ERA while striking out 95 in 85 2/3 innings for Reading. "It's a good time to look at him," manager Charlie Manuel said. "I see a big arm. I see a major-league fastball. I see a good breaking ball and a change-up." Mathieson could make more than one start, as Jon Lieber is not due back for another two weeks.
