MLB.com reports that the Angels have recalled catcher Ryan Budde from Triple-A Salt Lake.

Ryan Budde has been recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake, according to the Orange County Register.

Catcher Ryan Budde has been called up from Triple-A, according to the LA Times. He will replace Mike Napoli on the roster, who was placed on the 15-day DL with his shoulder ailment.

Ryan Budde was promoted from Triple-A Saturday, the AP reports. He'll be Anaheim's backup catcher behind Jeff Mathis while Mike Napoli is on the disabled list. Budde is having a solid if ordinary year for Salt Lake, hitting .295 with four homers in 156 at-bats. It's doubtful he's going to play that much.

The Phillies returned Rule 5 pick Ryan Budde to the Angels on Monday. He never saw any action with the Phillies, as he was recovering from an abdominal strain on the disabled list.
