Manager Dave Trembley said that Luis Hernandez should get some starts down the stetch. "I would expect Hernandez to get an opportunity to play somewhat," Trembley said in the AP. "He did a nice job here before. He's a middle infielder, and if you're going to build this thing around pitching and defense, you need guys in the middle of the diamond that can catch the ball and he showed that when he was here before." Hernandez was recalled Tuesday.

The Orioles sent Luis Hernandez back to Triple-A on Sunday to open a roster spot for Melvin Mora, who just returned from the DL. Hernandez hit .333 with four RBI in 36 at-bats with the O's this year.

The Orioles recalled Luis Hernandez from Triple-A Norfolk Saturday to replace the injured Freddie Bynum on their roster. He was hitting .273 with Norfolk, but he might not stick with the O's through the All-Star break.
