Patton was the prize of the deal for the O's, although he could benefit from some more time in the minors, as he posted a 4.59 ERA in eight Triple-A starts in 2007. "There's fluid on my biceps tendon, and that's what's causing discomfort throwing," Patton said in the Houston Chronicle. He has not pitched since Sept. 7 because of tendinitis in the biceps, though he did notice nominal improvement during a light tossing session Monday. "A little improvement, but not really" Patton said in the Houston Chronicle. "It's still keeping me from throwing the ball. I'm going to see how I feel today. ...
