Manny Parra was activated from the 15-day DL on Friday. He had been sidelined with a left thumb injury. He'll likely be used in middle relief the rest of the way.

Manny Parra was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday after sustaining a chip fracture in his left thumb Thursday night. Greg Aquino was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take Parra's spot on the roster.

Manager Ned Yost said before Thursday's game that he planned to keep Manny Parra in the rotation. However, his plans could change after Parra was forced to leave Thursday's outing after three innings with a bruised thumb that he suffered on a bunt attempt, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The Brewers recalled Manny Parra from Triple-A Nashville Monday. Parra threw a perfect game for Nashville last month and holds a 2.45 ERA with a 106/33 K/BB rate in 106 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this year. The left-hander will be used out of the bullpen.

Manny Parra moved from Double-A to Triple-A last week, and he's already made a big impression. The 24-year-old southpaw tossed a perfect game against Round Rock on Monday night. Parra struck out 11. He was 7-3 with a 2.68 ERA at Double-A and is now 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA at Triple-A.
