Manny Parra was activated from the 15-day DL on Friday. He had been sidelined with a left thumb injury. He'll likely be used in middle relief the rest of the way.

Manny Parra was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday after sustaining a chip fracture in his left thumb Thursday night. Greg Aquino was recalled from Triple-A Nashville to take Parra's spot on the roster.

However, his plans could change after Parra was forced to leave Thursday's outing after three innings with a bruised thumb that he suffered on a bunt attempt, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The Brewers recalled Manny Parra from Triple-A Nashville Monday. Parra threw a perfect game for Nashville last month and holds a 2.45 ERA with a 106/33 K/BB rate in 106 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this year. The left-hander will be used out of the bullpen.

Manny Parra moved from Double-A to Triple-A last week, and he's already made a big impression. The 24-year-old southpaw tossed a perfect game against Round Rock on Monday night. Parra struck out 11. He was 7-3 with a 2.68 ERA at Double-A and is now 1-1 with a 1.20 ERA at Triple-A.
