Dallas Braden was sent to the minors on Thursday in part to clear roster space for the expected return of Keith Foulke and Rich Harden, according to the Associated Press.

The A's have recalled Dallas Braden from Triple-A Sacramento, MLB.com reports. He will fill the roster spot of reliever Keith Foulke (neck).

Dallas Braden will be moved to the bullpen, and Dan Meyer will take his place in Oakland's starting rotation, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Braden has gone 1-7 with a 7.02 ERA in 12 starts this year, and he's not going to have any fantasy value working in relief.

Dallas Braden is the most likely candidate to be called up to take the rotation spot of Esteban Loaiza, who was claimed by the Dodgers on Wednesday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Braden struggled in his time in the big leagues, holding a 6.32 ERA in 13 games (10 starts), but he struck out a team-record 17 for Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.
