Manager John Gibbons stated that righty Brian Wolfe is playing catch and might be able to begin pitching off a mound again in about a week, as he recovers from a strained right triceps, according to MLB.com. Gibbons said it would likely be at least two more weeks before Wolfe would be ready to be activated from the 15-day DL.

The Toronto Blue Jays report RHP Brian Wolfe has yet to pick up a baseball since landing on the 15-day disabled list on April 18th and is at least a week to 10 days away from returning to duty, according to MLB.com.

The Blue Jays promoted Brian Wolfe to the big leagues on Monday, according to the AP. Wolfe was 2-0 with an 0.84 ERA in 14 games at Syracuse. "He's pitching great down there and he's been on the radar for a while," manager John Gibbons. "An extra arm definitely helps." Wolfe will work in middle relief.
