The White Sox have reinstated Alexei Ramirez from the restricted list Tuesday, allowing the Cuban defector to return to the team after skipping a weekend series in Toronto, according to the Miami Herald. The 26-year-old, who was a former member of Cuba's national team, would likely have had visa problems traveling between Canada and the United States, so he remained in Chicago during the team's four-game series in Toronto.

Alexei Ramirez is set to come off the restricted list on Tuesday and will rejoin the White Sox for their series against the Twins in Chicago, according to manager Ozzie Guillen, notes MLB.com. "Right now, yes," Guillen said. "He should be back." Ramirez was unable to travel with the team to Toronto because of problems with his work visa that would have prevented him from re-entering the United States if he left the country.
