Clayton Kershaw was due to be called up on Saturday, but his rough outing on Monday has caused his promotion to be delayed. "They had him lined up, but he didn't pitch very well," manager Joe Torre tells MiLB.com. "We haven't made the decision, but to me, it's doubtful." Kershaw allowed five hits and five runs over 3.1 innings against Mobile.

There were rumors floating that rookie Clayton Kershaw might be called up to pitch on Sunday, but he will not be, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Chan Ho Park of Hong-Chih Kuo will likely make the start.

The Dodgers admitted on Sunday that they have something called the "Kershaw Decree." It's a strategy that says Clayton Kershaw will not pitch more than 25 innings in any month while in the minors. "We don't want to get teased and find out in September [that Kershaw's] not pitching anymore," manager Joe Torre tells MiLB.com. Kershaw is expected to move to the bullpen in the near future in order to limit his innings.

Manager Joe Torre told the Press-Enterprise that Clayton Kershaw will start pitching out of the bullpen in order to limit his innings. The lefty boasts a 1.40 ERA with 31 Ks in 25 2/3 innings at Double-A Jacksonville this year.

Clayton Kershaw hurled another strong outing for Double-A Jacksonville on Friday, as he threw six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, and only two hits allowed, according to MLB.com. He lowered his ERA to 1.40.
