Bay helps Pirates come back to blast Cardinals
St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Jason Bay's three-run pinch-hit home run in the eighth inning lifted the Pittsburgh Pirates past the St. Louis Cardinals in an 11-5 comeback win at Busch Stadium in the finale of a three-game series.

Freddy Sanchez and Jason Michaels drove in two runs each for the Pirates, who took the first and last games of the series. Doug Mientkiewicz and Chris Gomez each had three hits and three runs scored, while Nate McLouth homered and drew three walks.

Kyle Lohse skipped his normal between starts throwing on Thursday and may miss his next start due to a sore shoulder, according to MLB.com. If Lohse is unable to go on Sunday, the team will turn to rookie Mike Parisi. "We're just taking precautions to make sure it doesn't get any worse," Lohse said. "It's just been a little rough getting loosened up. But once I get going, it's all right."
