Ira Newble has signed on with the Lakers, choosing them over his former team, the Cavs, according to the Akron Beacon-Journal. Newble was traded to Seattle last month from Cleveland but was released shortly after. He won't have any fantasy value in La-La Land.

The Sonics waived Ira Newble Friday after acquiring him at the trade deadline last week, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. He can sign with any team once he clears waivers, but that won't matter in fantasy terms, because he doesn't do much statistically.

Ira Newble had to leave the court in Wednesday's 106-97 victory over the Indiana Pacers, according to Ohio.com. Newble experienced back spasms but the team doesn't consider the ailment serious.
