DeSagana Diop , traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the New Jersey Nets in February, is returning to his former team with an impressive new pay raise to boot, according to the Dallas Star-Telegram.

The Dallas Mavericks may use their mid-level exception on center DeSagana Diop, reports the Dallas Star-Telegram.

DeSagana Diop could be headed back to Dallas, according to the Dallas Morning News. Diop played nearly three seasons for the Mavericks before being dealt to the Nets in February, and Dallas may be prepared to offer him its full mid-level exception. That would mean a starting salary of about $5.5 million for Diop.
