With Manu Ginobili resting for the playoffs and nursing a mild adductor strain, PG Tony Parker is getting more minutes and doing what he can to boost his own numbers in the process. Tony Parker was the weapon of choice in the Spurs’ 116-92 win over the Golden State Warriors, going 12-of-19 from the field to score a team-high 26 points, adding seven assists on one of the better nights Parker has enjoyed in recent weeks. With Manu Ginobili (7-of-14 FGM, 16 points) taking the lead on most nights, Parker has fallen into the shadows a bit. Tonight serves as a reminder that he is still capable of leading the charge and that the Spurs are still the favorite in the clubhouse.

Tony Parker scored 23 points as the San Antonio Spurs ended a four-game losing streak with a 102-80 rout of the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. The defending NBA champs avoided their first five-game losing streak since the 1996-97 season and maybe more important, Parker were able to rest the entire fourth quarter as crunch time approaches in the NBA.

Tony Parker saw about 29 minutes of action on Monday night, and he rewarded the Spurs with 15 points and nine assists in the Spurs 89-74 victory over the Spurs. This was Parker's best game since returning to action after recovering from his ankle injury and it signals that it is safe to insert Parker back into your lineup if you have not yet done so.

Tony Parker told the San Antonio Express-News he is over the ankle inflammation that kept him out of nine games from Jan. 26 to Feb. 19. Parker played 18 minutes, 28 seconds off the bench in his return at Minnesota on Thursday, and then followed that performance with a start Saturday vs. the Hornets. "I've just got to try to get back in shape, get my wind back, my legs back," Parker said after the Spurs practiced Sunday. "Physically I feel fine." It will take Parker a few games to regain his form and touch, but he should be starting this week in all formats.

Tony Parker, in his first game back after missing three weeks with an ankle injury, returned to action on Thursday night scoring eight points with one assist in under 19 minutes of action. An MRI on Tony Parker's sore left ankle revealed no structural damage, which means he won't require surgery right now, according to the San Antonio Express. However, the bone spur in the joint has created enough swelling that he will miss at least the next six games. The Spurs are thinking only about the playoffs, and with the addition of Damon Stoudamire to their backcourt, they will just rest Parker until he's healed up. At this point, it looks like we won't see him until after the All-Star break.
