Jerry Sloan said that he will be back to coach the Jazz next season, according to the Deseret News. He commented, "I'm planning on coming back, and looking forward to it. I think we have a good team, and they can get better."

In a game that may serve as a preview of one of the best potential playoff matchups for the season, the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Hornets mixed it up this evening in a game that failed to meet expectation. Mehmet Okur continues to pace the Utah Jazz, going just 9-of-20 from the field, 2-of-7 from three-point range, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe to score 22 points, but his 17 rebounds will be the banner for fantasy owners with Okur on the roster this evening. Okur has been on fire of late, averaging 20 points and 11.5 rebounds per game over his last six contests.

Mehmet Okur will try to play through his flu on Thursday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. He commented, "I'm here, but I'm not. Do you know what I mean?" He is averaging 14 points and 7.1 boards per game and hopefully he can return and be effective.

Utah C Mehmet Okur enjoyed a fantastic statistical performance in the midst of the 96-108 loss to the Chicago Bulls. Okur posted 22 points with 18 rebounds, but it was all for naught as the Jazz fall in what should have been an easy win. Okur has this ability but lacks the consistency to keep fantasy owners happy. He's getting tall minutes these days, so we can hope for progress towards better days, starting here.
