Nene Hilario practiced with the Nuggets on Wednesday and could be back with the club as soon as Thursday, the Rocky Mountain News reports. Nene had a cancerous testicular tumor removed on January 14. He's not in a position to help fantasy teams, but he could aide the Nuggets in the postseason.

Coach George Karl said he hoped to have Nene Hilario "back on the court in a week or two weeks," according to the Rocky Mountain News. Karl backed off after initially saying that Nene would be ready for game action then, playing about 10 minutes per contest. The reality is that Nene shouldn't be a fantasy factor the rest of the season, but it would be great if he returned from his cancer to help the Nugs heading into the postseason.

Nuggets head coach George Karl hopes that Nene Hilario will be able to return before the end of the season. Nene is undergoing chemotherapy for testicular cancer. "I'm very hopeful," Karl tells the Denver Post. "I think this time next week we'll have a better answer for that. Mentally and physically, chemotherapy is not easy. It remains unclear when Nene Hilario will be able to return to game action. Various doctors have suggested to the Nugs that it could be anywhere from two weeks to two months, according to the Rocky Mountain News. It's believed that the surgery successfully stopped the malignant cancer he had, so it appears that it's simply a matter of Nene getting back into game shape. Once he starts running and working out in the next week or two, we should have a more specific timeline for his return to the mix.

Nene Hilario has taken an indefinite leave from the Nuggets to tend to a personal medical issue. "I'm very upset that I have to put a little delay on being with the team to take care of my health," Nene said in a statement, according to the Denver Post. "I want to get back on the court as soon as possible to help my teammates." The Nugs and Nene declined to elaborate on what he's dealing with or for how long he'll be gone, so we'll just have to wait and see. Kenyon Martin should benefit some from Nene's absence from the frontcourt.
