Manu Ginobili is hoping to return to action on Thursday. "I think I could have played (Sunday)," Ginobili told the San Antonio Express. "I want to play the next game, but that's a question better asked of (coach Gregg Popovich)." He's missed the past three games with a sprained left index finger, and he'll have to prove himself in practice Wednesday before Pop will consider putting him into game action the next day.

Manu Ginobili will probably sit out at least through Wednesday to rest the sprained ligaments on his left index finger, the San Antonio Express-News reports. "He's probably going to miss a little bit of time," Gregg Popovich said. "It's just a matter of how much. They X-rayed it and there is nothing new, but he's got a bad hand. The ligaments are quite sore, and whatever happens to the ligaments has happened without tearing."
