Houston forward Luis Scola landed on the NBA All-Rookie Team, according to the AP. Scola enjoyed a solid debut campaign as he averaged 10.3 points, 6.4 boards, 1.3 assists, and 0.7 steals over 82 games. He also shot 51% from the field.

It would seem the Rockets were needing a great team effort to stay in the mix and earn a win rather than elimination from their 1st-round playoff series with the Utah Jazz, but it was a two-man show for the Rockets on offense that got the job done as the Rockets emerged 95-69 with the victory. Tracy McGrady was one component of note, but forward Luis Scola may deserve the player of the night award, shooting 7-of-12 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line to score 18 points, adding 12 rebounds to secure an outstanding individual effort that lead the team to a win.

Luis Scola continues to grow as a force for the Houston Rockets, enjoying one of his best games to date in tonight's 97-86 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Scola went 8-of-15 from the field to score 18 points with a whopping 18 rebounds, adding three steals for good measure. Scola's numbers continue to improve as the Rockets put more of opportunity in his hands.

Luis Scola may not have scored a ton, but his work on the glass earned him one of his best days yet, scoring 13 points with 11 rebounds to put a double-double on the Lakers in a 104-92 win. Scola has been a bit of a sleeper for fantasy owners this season and his numbers should improve as he gains confidence and more looks. Yao Mings absence leaves Tracy McGrady looking for support on the offensive end of the floor while rebounding becomes an issue on the other, and it looks like Scola is ready to pick up the slack on both.

In the Rockets' first game since losing Yao Ming for the remainder of the season, the team pounded the Wiz 94-69, and Luis Scola scored 14 points. Scola hit all seven of his shot attempts, though he snagged just two rebounds. Scola should be a big beneficiary in fantasy terms due to Yao's absence. Expect a great FG%, decent scoring and rebounding from the rookie Argentine.

This was Scola's first double-double in 11 games but he has still been scoring above his 8.6 point-per-game average during this stretch at 11.7 points an outing.
