News reports say that Chris Kaman has obtained German citizenship and will play in the upcoming Olympics for his new country.

Chris Kaman , out with a sprained ankle, said on Monday that his season was over, this according to the Orange County Register. Kaman had a wonderful start to the season but as the year wore on the injuries began to pile up. Overall, he averaged 15.7 points and 12.7 rebounds, and with a healthy Elton Brand next season the Clippers should have a powerful inside duo to turn to.

Chris Kaman missed his third straight game on Sunday due to a sprained right ankle. He was previously listed as day-to-day and presumably remains so. Josh Powell started in his place.

Chris Kaman doesn't sound like a man eager to return to the court. He has missed a lot of time recently due to a bad back, which he tried to play through be aggravated. "This season's lost... but I'm not trying to play this year injured," Kaman tells the Los Angeles Times. "I want to make sure I'm healthy when I play."

Chris Kaman missed his second consecutive game due to back spasms on Wednesday. The Clips are without big-men Kaman and Elton Brand (Achilles) and it shows. Los Angeles had to face Orlando on Wednesday with an undersized frontcourt that consisted of Tim Thomas, Josh Powell and Corey Maggette, and were schooled by Magic, 110-88. The Clippers have to be concerned that Kaman's back woes could be chronic not only affecting his health for the rest of this season, but going forward.

Chris Kaman is considered questionable for tonight's game against Orlando with a back injury, this according to the Los Angeles Times . The injury forced him to leave Monday's game early and he remains day-to-day and a game-time decision.

Chris Kaman, still dealing with a sore back, was forced to sit out Monday night's game, a 99-98 victory over the Heat. Kaman has seen his production dip greatly of late with an average of 12.3 points and 10.7 boards over his last 13 games, well below his season averages of 16 and 13.1, but still solid numbers from the center position.

Chris Kaman may be recovering from a sore back, but he still got the job done on Friday night as he contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds against the Lakers. His minutes may decrease but he can still be productive as a fantasy performer.

Chris Kaman played more than 26 minutes on Monday night, which is more than is called for. Head coach Mike Dunleavy tells the Los Angeles Times that the center is limited to 25 minutes per night as he recovers from a sore lower back. Kaman played over 33 minutes on Saturday.

Chris Kaman received an epidural injection for his ailing back on Tuesday, according to the OC Register. "They told me I'd be out three weeks if I didn't get a shot," Kaman said. As it is, he'll skip Wednesday's game and hope to return on Friday. An X-ray and MRI taken Tuesday revealed no structural damage, but he was diagnosed with nerve inflammation. Playing Friday may be a reach, unless the shot does wonders.

Chris Kaman will not see action on Monday night due to his back injury, this according to the OC Register. Kaman will now have missed seven of the past 15 games due to a variety of issues. Kaman is averaging 16.2 points and 13.3 rebounds a game, excellent numbers to be sure, though his play of late has been far off the mark as he has averaged just 11.3 points and 10.5 boards in February.

Chris Kaman missed Saturday's game due to a sore back but continues to deal with a sore shin, too, according to the LA Times. "It isn't feeling great sometimes," he said. "The MRIs and X-rays all came back negative, which is good. There's no damage or anything. I don't know what it is exactly." Kaman admitted that his ailing shin could remain a problem for the remainder of the season.

Chris Kaman continues to struggle with the ball in his hands as he made just three shots on Monday night on his way to seven points. Kaman now has a total of 11 points over the past two games though he has continued to be a presence on the boards as he has 26 boards in that time. Coming back off the flu Kaman's play has been very uneven the past five games, but there is little reason to think he will suddenly just fall apart. Look for a rebound after the All-Star game.

Chris Kaman hauled in 11 boards in Saturday but he made only two shots on his way to a measly four points in the Clippers loss. Kaman has been a wonder this season and since returning from the flu this was his first stinker of a game. Look for him to return to his double-double ways next time out.

Chris Kaman's bruised shin has healed, but the flu might keep him from playing on Friday, according to the LA Times. "My whole body is hurting," said Kaman. "I just had the flu and it tore me down. I was in my bed the last few days and haven't really done anything." Consider him to be questionable and hope he can tough it out.

Chris Kaman missed his first game of the season Saturday due to a bruised left shin. "Right now, it's just really stiff, really sore," Kaman said, according to the LA Times. "I can't really put a lot of weight on it. I went out and tested it before and it wasn't going to work. Now, I've got a couple days until the next game, so hopefully I'll be good with the trainers." He'll have to make quick progress in his recovery if he's going to suit up for Monday's game.
