T.J. Ford had an MRI yesterday that revealed no fracture in his sprained left foot, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's not expected to play Friday, and his availability for next week is in serious doubt.

T.J. Ford suffered a sprain of his left mid-foot last night, but he doesn't think the injury is serious, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. A timetable for his return likely will be set after he has an MRI today.

T.J. Ford left 4:41 into Tuesday's game after he was fouled hard by Miami's James Posey as he drove to the basket, according to the AP. Ford hit the two free throws before leaving for the dressing room. He was diagnosed with a sprained left foot.

The Bucks picked up their option to keep T.J. Ford under contract next season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's looked terrific during the preseason in his return from a spinal cord injury.

T.J. Ford made his preseason debut Saturday, scoring 17 points and adding four dimes and three steals. He missed last season with a spinal cord injury and the start of the preseason with a finger injury. Ford could be a real sleeper this season.

T.J. Ford worked out with his teammates yesterday for the first time since sustaining a spinal cord injury during the 2003-04 season, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He was cleared for full-contact practice last month and is aiming to be ready for the start of the season.

T.J. Ford has been ruled out for the season, as he will need considerably more time to recover from spinal cord surgery. Ford met with his surgeon earlier this week, and it was determined that he's nowhere near ready to resume basketball activities.

T.J. Ford will meet today with the surgeon who operated on his spine last summer, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. A decision on his status for the remainder of the season is expected after the meeting.

T.J. Ford will undergo tests this week which should reveal whether he will be able to return from his back and neck injuries this season, according to the Dallas Morning News. "By Jan. 11, we'll determine whether the diagnosis is [that] he's out for the rest of the year, or there's some great progress and he may have a chance to finish the season on the roster toward the end of the year," Bucks GM Larry Harris said.
