It remains entirely unclear when, or if, T.J. Ford will return from his head injury. "The doctors are going to give their opinions, and we'll go from there," said coach Sam Mitchell, according to the Toronto Sun. "But we have to let the doctors get all the information together, and give their opinion, and then it's up to how T.J. feels." He's been to a couple of specialists and may see more, but at this point consider him to be out indefinitely.

Raptors guard T.J. Ford won’t even consider coming back to practice for at least a week after the a flagrant foul by Atlanta’s Al Horford had him staying the night on Tuesday in the hospital, the Toronto Star reported. Ford said he isn’t worried about another incident; he just wants to give his body enough time to heal.

T.J. Ford left the court Tuesday on a stretcher following a fall. He was headed toward a breakaway basket when Atlanta rookie Al Horford hit his face with his hand, according to the AP. "After a while I could see him moving and that was a relief," Chris Bosh said. "It turns my stomach because of who it is. Like I say, we know about his situation and everything. He was conscious. He wasn't trying to move too much. I'm sure he was feeling pain in his arms and legs. I just hope he's OK." Ford missed the 2004-05 season following neck surgery, which obviously makes this sort of injury particularly scary for him. We'll keep you updated on his prognosis.

The good news for the Raptors is that guard T.J. Ford will return to the lineup on Wednesday night, the bad news is that forwards Chris Bosh and Andrea Bargnani will again be watching the game in civilian attire. Bosh has been bothered by a strained groin for about a week, and Bargnani hyper-extended his left knee on Saturday.

It's not clear yet if T.J. Ford will be able to play on Monday. "It depends how he feels," coach Sam Mitchell told the Toronto Sun. Ford has played only sparingly in two games since returning from a neck stinger, so expect him to be limited again if he suits up Monday.

As had been hoped, T.J. Ford was able to return from his shoulder stinger on Friday. However, he came off the bench and mustered just two points and six dimes in 17 minutes. He'll start and pick up the pace once he's closer to full strength.

Raptors point guard T.J. Ford could play for the first time on Friday since suffering a left arm stinger on November 20. The Toronto Star reported that Ford had his first significant practice in a week on Thursday. However, he may return in a reserve role behind Jose Calderon.

T.J. Ford didn't play the final 16 minutes Tuesday because of a shoulder stinger, the AP reports. "Josh (Howard) exploded into me and I took the full hit," Ford said. "It's not that serious. ... There's a pain and a tingling feeling in my left arm. It's calmed down right now. We'll see how it responds (Wednesday)."

Raptors point guard T.J. Ford tied a team-high with 13 points and handed out a team-best 11 assists in Wednesday’s preseason victory over Zalgiris Kaunas. Ford also added a rebound in his 24 minutes.

Ford did not scrimmage with the team on Thursday after suffering a stinger in Game 5 against the Nets, but traveled with the team to New Jersey for Friday’s Game 6 despite his playing status being doubtful, the Toronto Sun reported. "Scott (McCullough -- Raptors head athletic trainer) said T.J. felt better, but I didn't talk to him," Mitchell said of Ford's status, adding that he "does not have a clue" whether Ford will be able to play.

After suffering a “stinger” in Tuesday night’s game against the Nets, Raptors point guard T.J. Ford did not practice on Wednesday and walked gingerly in his brief appearance at practice, the Toronto Star reported. When asked about his availability for Friday’s game, Ford just said, “we’ll see.”

T.J. Ford left shortly after colliding with New Jersey's Vince Carter with less than 30 seconds to play in the first quarter Tuesday night, according to the AP. Ford, who suffered what team officials called a "stinger," was taken to a hospital for tests. He returned to the arena and was sitting on the bench late in the fourth quarter. Tests showed no serious problems but Ford still complained of soreness after the game.

"It's tough, I didn't feel I could play and be productive," Ford said. "Basically, it's just sore. It just stiffened up on me today. We've been monitoring it and I wouldn't have made it any better if I'd tried to play."
