Lakers forward Luke Walton has undergone successful surgery to remove bone spurs and scar tissue as well as to clean cartilage debris in his right ankle, according to the Associated Press.

The Lakers indicated that Luke Walton needs right ankle surgery, according to the AP. Walton will undergo the operation Friday to remove bone spurs from his ankle. The procedure will be performed in Los Angeles by Dr. David Thordarson.

According to the Deseret News, Luke Walton, who didn't practice Monday due to an upper respiratory infection that limited his minutes to 13 in Game 1, did practice Tuesday, but said he "hit a wall" and that he won't know how many minutes he'll be able to play tonight versus the Jazz.
