James Jones has landed with the Heat, as he signed a five-year deal on Wednesday, according to the AP. Terms were not fully disclosed, but it is reported he will make $4 million next season.

Three-point specialist James Jones will be sidelined for three to five weeks because of a sore left knee, according to ESPN.com. The forward was at first expected to return after the All-Star break, but his knee has not responded to rest. Jones missed 12 of Portland's first 15 games this season with the same injury.

The soreness is related to tendinitis, and doctors have told coach Nate McMillan that rest is the best remedy, according to the Oregonian. Jones will miss at least six games before he is scheduled to return Feb. 19 against the Kings.
