Free agent forward Matt Barnes, facing an increasingly stingy free-agent market, decided to return to the Warriors for a one-year deal worth $3.5 million in hopes of a bigger payday next summer, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Barnes was seeking a long-term deal starting at the mid-level exception of $5.36 million after his breakout season, but he didnt get the interest he had hoped for.
