Magic forward Dwight Howard scored 31 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in Orlandos preseason victory over Cleveland on Wednesday in Shanghai, China. Howard sank 13 of 16 free throws.

Magic forward Dwight Howard poured in 30 points, had 11 rebounds, and added four blocks in Orlandos 94-93 preseason loss to Atlanta. Howard sat out for most of the fourth quarter, and made a handful of mid-range jumpers.

Dwight Howard signed a five-year contract extension with the Magic on Thursday worth approximately $80 million, according to the AP. He averaged a team-best 17.6 points and 12.3 rebounds last season, making his first All-Star game.

Magic GM Otis Smith told the Orlando Sentinel that he expects head coach Brian Hill to start cutting back on Dwight Howard's practice time. "I'm not overly concerned with him being tired," Smith said. "I don't see a trend there. Maybe we have to sit him a little more in practice. We just have to be smarter as it relates to him on the practice floor."
