According to the Daily Progress, Ben Gordon says he would like to play for the New York Knicks. He is a restricted free agent this summer and feels that if Derrick Rose is the pick, there won't be enough minutes for guards in Chicago. Gordon grew up in nearby Mount Vernon, NY.

GM John Paxson is denying the news that Doug Collins is going to be named the Bulls' new head coach, according to the Sports Network. Paxson admitted that the two sides were talking but said nothing was imminent, and added, "I have been in contact with Doug Collins in regard to our head coaching position. Contrary to some reports that are currently out there, we have not reached an agreement. Right now, his commitment is covering the Western Conference Finals for TNT. When that series concludes, we will continue our dialogue. In the meantime, I will continue to talk to other candidates and review our options."

Doug Collins is expected to be named the new head coach of the Bulls, according to ESPN.com. Collins has a good relationship with GM John Paxson and owner Jerry Reinsdorf, and that led to the decision to bring him back to Chicago. He was fired in 1989, despite leading the Bulls to the Eastern Conference finals, and was then replaced by Phil Jackson.

The Bulls fired interim head coach Jim Boylan on Thursday, this according to Slam Sports. "I was brought in here in the middle of the season," Boylan said yesterday. "It's kind of a tough situation...Sitting in the head coach's seat was comfortable and enjoyable. I loved the challenge."

Ben Gordon will miss the rest of the season with a lower abdominal strain, this according to the AP. “It just really wasn’t improving all that much,” interim coach Jim Boylan said. Gordon finishes the year averaging 18.9 points on 43.1% shooting and both he and the Bulls will hope to improve in 2008 on this disappointing effort.

The Bulls Mr. Offense, Ben Gordon, led the team with 18 points on Saturday night as one of only three players who scored in double figures. This year has seen a regression in Gordon's shooting percentage, scoring average, rebounds and assist totals. However, all the numbers are still right on his career averages but they are still slightly below the totals he posted last season.

Ben Gordon was limited to nine points in 15 minutes of action against Boston on Tuesday night. He only shot 3-of-8 from the field and picked up five personal fouls in a short period of time. That was his lowest point total since February 29, when he only scored six points against Washington.

Ben Gordon scored only five points last time out but he rebounded on Monday night scoring 25 points for the Bulls off the bench. Gordon is certainly Mr. Offense in Chicago and he should continue to pour in the points as long as he is able to remain healthy.

Ben Gordon came through with 37 points to lead seven Bills in double figures in Chicago's 135-121 victory over the Nuggets. Gordon was ultra effective going 12-for-18 from the field including six made three pointers. A much better performance than his first game back from an injured wrist when he scored just 14 points on 5-for-15 shooting.

Ben Gordon still intends to play through his sore wrist on Wednesday, according to the Chicago Tribune. Of greater interest is whether he'll be traded before Thursday's deadline. He said he's considering signing a one-year tender to play for the Bulls next season before becoming an unrestricted free agent. That led the Bulls to shop him around a bit, but so far, they haven't received any good offers. Stay tuned.

Ben Gordon is expected to miss his ninth straight game tonight and likely won't play Thursday against the Heat. Gordon was scheduled to undergo a second MRI exam on his sprained right wrist Monday, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The results of the exam aren't known.

There's at least a chance that Ben Gordon could return to action for Saturday's game against the Jazz, according to the Chicago Tribune. Of course, there's been a chance he'd return for several games, but he's remained on the bench. There's a probably a more realistic chance that the Bulls will just sit him out until after the All-Star break to allow his ailing wrist to heal better.

Bulls guard Ben Gordon didn’t play on Wednesday due to a sprained right wrist he suffered on Monday night in Memphis, the Chicago Tribune reported. X-rays were negative and Gordon did practice on Tuesday.
