Robert Swift will undergo another knee surgery on March 4 and is out for the year, according to the AP. Swift had surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee in November of 2006. This surgery will repair a torn lateral meniscus in the same knee. Swift has played just eight games since the 2005-06 season, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he's never the same player again (though he wasn't that good to begin with).

Robert Swift sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee during Thursday's game, according to the Seattle Times. The Sonics didn't have any other information available about Swift, but it seems likely that his season will be over. Knee problems already have limited Swift to just eight games thus far.

Robert Swift returned to action Tuesday for the first time since suffering complications with his surgically repaired right knee in mid November. He played just six fourth-quarter minutes and had four points, but the important thing is that his knee held up. "It [the knee] felt pretty good," Swift told the Seattle Times. "I've been doing a lot of conditioning, which of course is nothing like playing and getting the conditioning while actually playing, but it felt good and there were no problems with the knee. I was not as bad as I thought I would be."

Robert Swift said he'll find out Friday if he can return to game action on Saturday, according to the Seattle Times. "There's no pain or swelling in the knee after I work out," he said. "I'm ready to go." Swift has been recovering from tendinitis in his surgically repaired knee. He'll be limited to about 12-15 minutes per game initially, but he's worth keeping an eye on if he manages to get up to full speed later in the season.

Robert Swift had his sore knee examined on Wednesday. The doctor said the tendinitis is normal and that Swift may be able to return to practice in a couple of weeks, according to the Seattle Times. He's also dealing with some plantar fasciitis, so we aren't likely to see him in game action until next month.
