The Timberwolves and point guard Sebastian Telfair agreed to a multi-year contract on Monday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Wolves previously declined to make Telfair a one-year, $3.5 million qualifying offer as a restricted free agent.

Sebastian Telfair was not given a qualifying offer by the Timberwolves, making him a free agent, according to the St. Cloud Times. The team is interested in bringing him back, but at less than the $3.5 million he was to have made this season.

Sebastian Telfair, who has been out of the Wolves lineup since injuring his ankle on March 7th, had hoped to be able to play on Friday, but he did not accompany the team on its two game round trip, this according to the Star Tribune. Telfair may or may not play again this season, but the bottom line is that you certainly shouldn't be counting on him for any substantial production the rest of the way.
