Chris Paul was electric in Saturday's win over Dallas, collecting 33 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. The ankle problems of mid-November certainly appear to be behind him now.

Chris Paul (ankle) participated in most of the practice drills Tuesday and said afterward that playing Wednesday "is still up in the air," the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. "Chris looked good today," Byron Scott said after practice. "He's already saying he's playing tomorrow. We've got to wait until tomorrow just to see how he feels."

Chris Paul missed Saturday's game with a sore right ankle, the AP reports. Byron Scott said Paul would likely miss a couple more games before returning to the lineup. Backup point guards Jannero Pargo and Bobby Jackson combined for 22 points and 12 assists in Saturday's win at Minnesota.

Chris Paul underwent surgery on Monday on his left foot, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. He is not expected to miss any time when the Hornets' training camp begins in October, but he could be in jeopardy of not participating on Team USA this summer as a precaution.

As expected, Chris Paul had a screw inserted into his left foot on Monday to help him recover from a stress reaction. Paul's agent said the point guard likely won't be able to train with the U.S. basketball team during the offseason, as Paul will need 4-6 weeks to recover.

Chris Paul said last night that he will undergo surgery during the offseasonon his left foot, according to the Times-Picayune. He was diagnosed with a stress reaction last month, which is not as serious as a stress fracture, but he's missed just one game as a result of the injury.

"My foot right there in the fourth quarter, I thought that it was hurting a little too bad," Paul said. "I thought (Jannero Pargo) could do a better job than me playing hurt. He came in and got the win."

He has been sidelined since severely spraining the ankle when he came down on the foot of Seattle's Johan Petro in a game on Dec. 26.
