Trade rumors about a new future home for Jose Calderon were put to rest by Raptors president and general manager Bryan Colangelo. "All the rumors are false," Colangelo told the Toronto Sun. "I can tell you that the story that I'm shopping Calderon all over the place (reported in New York) is absolute nonsense. I can tell you this: I'm getting calls from about half the teams in the league asking about him. Nothing has got even remotely close to making a deal.”

Raptors guard Jose Calderon did not scrimmage with the team before leaving for New Jersey on Thursday, but is optimistic he will play on Friday, the Toronto Sun reported. Calderon, who sprained his right ankle in Game 5, told the paper that he can walk with almost no pain, but needs to see how he feels when he tries to run on Friday. “We have 24 hours, I think it’s going to be alright,” Calderon said.

Raptors point guard Jose Calderon did not practice on Wednesday after being forced out of Tuesday’s game with a right ankle sprain, the Toronto Star reported. Calderon instead spent the day getting treatment on what he called a “mild” sprain, and said he thought he might be able to play with the pain.

Jose Calderon scored a career-high 25 points Tuesday night before spraining his ankle in the final minute, according to the AP. He was taken to a hospital after the game for tests on his ankle. The severity of his injury was not known.
