The Sonics are going to start Nick Collison in place of Petro Friday, the Seattle Times reports. Collison is three inches shorter than the 7-foot Petro, but head coach Bob Hill believes Petro is better off the bench in the long term. Petro also missed Thursday's practice due to a sore throat, though it doesn't appear that his benching is tied to that.

Johan Petro was back in the starting lineup Monday and had 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in 29 minutes. Petro hadn't started Saturday because Bob Hill wanted to try a three-guard lineup.

Johan Petro was removed from the starting lineup for the Sonics on Saturday, as head coach Bob Hill elected to go with a three-guard look. The Seattle Times reports that Hill might stick with the new look for the next few games.
