Sources have informed SI.com that Danilo Gallinari may opt to stay in Italy next season if the forward doesn't get drafted by either the Knicks (No. 6) or the Nets (No. 10). "I heard Monday that he wants to go to New York or New Jersey," an NBA team president says. "He's too good to pull out of the draft, but he might stay over there [in Europe] for a while if he doesn't like the team that drafts him."

There's no question that Italian small forward Danilo Gallinari is on the Knicks radar for the upcoming draft, the New York Post reports. The 19-year-old Gallinari could be available at the No. 6 spot. "He's better than [Andreas] Bargnani, no question," an Eastern Conference scout says. "He's Tom Chambers. Nobody's said that before. The guy doesn't back down from anybody. You're in his face. He'll get right back at them. Knicks fans would love him." The club recently sent Isiah Thomas overseas to scout Gallinari, whose father played with Mike D'Antoni.

With a rare but enjoyable win on the evening, beating the Miami Heat 103-96, the Knicks enjoyed strong efforts from several contributors, including three who posted double-digit rebound totals. David Lee hit the boards with 16 rebounds, Zach Randolph added 14, and Wilson Chandler cleaned 10 windows of his own. All three also posted double-digit points scored: 15 for Lee, 16 for Randolph, 10 for Chandler. There is rarely a point of hope for Knick fans these days, but tonight's win was a great group effort and shows better days may be ahead.
