Mickael Gelabale was lost for the remainder of the season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, this according to SI.com. Gelabale was injured in practice on Tuesday. He underwent an MRI on Wednesday and team physicians confirmed the injury Thursday morning. The team has yet to announce the date for his surgery. Gelabale was averaging 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game this season.

Mickael Gelabale scored 16 points off the bench for the Sonics as he hit 7 of 13 shots in 28 minutes of action. This was the fourth straight double-digit outing for Gelabale since P.J. Carlesimo stated that he would be in the team's rotation the rest of the season.

Head coach P.J. Carlesimo told Seattle PI that Mickael Gelabale will return from his stint in the NBDL on Tuesday and will become part of the rotation for the rest of the season. The report noted that it would be no surprise if the Sonics make a trade to clear some roster space because there appears to be no room for Gelabale.
