Player Notes
April 11, 2008
Young big man LaMarcus Aldridge has earned a ton of playing time in recent weeks as the Trail Blazers play out the string and look towards next year, and the opportunity has helped him become one of the more reliable power forwards in the West. In the Blazers' 86-103 loss tot he Sacramento Kings tonight, Aldridge shot 11-of-21 from the floor to score 24 points, posting an impressive 15 rebounds, three steals, and three blocked shots along the way.

LaMarcus Aldridge was the story of the evening out west, putting forth a stellar effort to lead the Portland Trail Blazers in a big win over the Lakers, 112-103. Aldridge went 9-of-18 from the field to score 22 points, adding 16 whopping rebounds to complete one of his best individual performances this season. Aldridge will be in danger of losing his job or moving to PF next year when Greg Oden returns from injury, but we know, based on games like this, the kid should be involved.

LaMarcus Aldridge missed Tuesday's contest against the Wizards due to a sprained ankle, and is considered a game-time decision for Thursday's contest against the Warriors, according to the Oregonian. Aldridge has enjoyed a breakout campaign for the Blazers, averaging 17.7 points, 7.3 boards, and 1.3 blocks per contest.
March 25, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge missed Tuesday's game due to his sprained ankle. He had been listed as probable but obvsiously wasn't up to the task. With any luck, he'll be ready to face the Warriors on Thursday.
March 24, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge suffered an injured ankle on Monday night that limited him to just 10 points and one rebound in 23 minutes of action. The injury is being described as "mild", so hopefully when he wakes up on Tuesday the swelling will not be too bad.
March 21, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge had a huge effort on Friday night as he scored 22 points, pulled 11 boards and dished out seven assists against the Clippers. Aldridge now has scored at least 20 points in eight straight games as he works on doubling his scoring average of his rookie season (9.0 points last year, 18.0 this year).
March 18, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge continued his hot play on Tuesday, racking up 31 points on 15-of-27 shooting from the floor. He also pulled down eight boards, though he failed to tally a dime or block a shot. The sophomore pro now has scored at least 20 points in seven straight games and is shooting about 53 percent in nine March games. It's scary to think about what the Blazers' frontcourt will look like in the future when No. 1 pick Greg Oden joins Aldridge next season.
March 10, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge came up big on Monday night with 25 points and 10 rebounds in the Blazers loss. LaMarcus was 11-for-19 from the field as he bettered his season long averages of 17 and 7. Aldridge continues to put up solid numbers including an average of 25 points per game the past three outings in the Northwest.
March 7, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge led the Blazers with 29 points, including the game winning shot with 2.4 seconds remaining during Friday night action against the Bucks. He also chipped in six rebounds and four assists.
February 13, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge returned to the area that he grew up in to face the Mavericks but he didn't receive a story book ending as he scored only six points on 3-for-10 shooting to end a streak of 3-straight twenty point outings. Aldridge is now in a mini-slump as he has made just 13 of his last 36 shots the past two games.
February 11, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge scored a team-high 22 points on Monday night, but he needed 26 shots to score those points as he made only 10 shots from the field. Aldridge had made at least 50% of his shots the past three games, never scoring less than 18 points, so we'll give the guy a mulligan on this outing considering he is shooting over 48% from the field on the year.
February 9, 2008
LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 points on 9-for-18 shooting but it wasn't enough as the Trailblazers fell 101-93 to the Pacers on Saturday night. Aldridge also added 11 boards to better his season averages of 16.9 points and 7.5 rebounds with his first double-double since January 3rd.
