Player Notes
April 16, 2008
The Timberwolves may not be headed to the playoffs, but Randy Foye hopes to lead them away from mediocrity in the future, and his performance in tonight's season finale shows he has the game to do it.

SG Randy Foye put his best effort into a 102-101 win over the Orlando Magic this evening. Foye went 10-of-21 from the field, 3-of-5 from three-point range, and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line to score 25 points with 6 assists, 4 assists, and a steal. Foye is struggling for consistency, but the potential to work as an every-night fantasy headline is there.

Randy Foye made his first start of the season on Tuesday. He played a season-high 33 minutes and scored 13 points. Foye, who has missed most of the season due to knee surgery, has a lot of upside and should only improve as the season rolls along. He should be a decent source of threes, dimes and, hopefully, scoring.

Randy Foye made only six shots but four of them were 3-pointer's as he scored 18 points on Wednesday night. The points are an unexpected bonus from a guy who had failed to score more than eight points in the last six games, but when you jack up 16 shots you had better score 18 points. Foye should be utilized as nothing more than a bench player at this point, but those of you who own Rashad McCants should make other plans as Foye continues to eat into his playing time.

Randy Foye finished with 11 points and two assists Tuesday in his first game back off a knee injury. He started practicing on a limited basis on Jan. 7, according to the AP, and he began participating in all drills about a week ago. Minnesota used him off the bench Tuesday, giving him just under 18 minutes of playing time.

Randy Foye traveled with the T-Wolves and took part in a workout before their game against the Celtics Friday night, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. He tested his ailing knee with some contact practices earlier this week, and it's possible we could see him make his season debut within the next week or two.

Randy Foye will have his progress assessed after Monday's practice to determine his next step in his recovery from his knee injury. "So far, so good," coach Randy Wittman told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Foye has been out all season due to his ailing knee but recently was cleared to step up his activities. There's no sense in speculating on how soon he might get into game action until we hear how his exam goes on Monday.
January 7, 2008
Point guard Randy Foye was cleared by doctors to begin more strenuous workouts on his injured left knee that has kept him on the sidelines for the entire season. Foye, who was the Wolves first round pick last season, first had pain in the knee during training camp and was shut down immediately in hopes that he would avoid microfracture surgery.

Randy Foye will have his injured left kneecap re-examined next Monday, January 7. He has been out all season. "We're hoping this next one is the all-clear," head coach Randy Wittman tells the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
