Daniel Gibson's left ankle injury may have been a blessing in disguise. The guard has been forced to slow down his game, as he's still not 100 percent. "I'm seeing more things," Gibson tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "It's easier to find guys when you're not moving 100 miles per hour. You feel the game out a little more because you know you're limited in some of the things you can do." He finished with 11 points and five assists in Game 1 against the Wizards.

He has been out since spraining his left ankle on February 20. Gibson's return will signal fewer minutes for Delonte West, Damon Jones, and, possibly, Wally Szczerbiak.

Daniel Gibson continues to rehab his severely sprained left ankle and hopes to be back in the lineup next week, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. ''I'm shooting for next week with us just having one game that will be a great time for me to come back and then be able to rest as well,'' Gibson said. Gibson's minutes could be limited initially, but be ready to stick him back in your lineup once he's ready to go full-bore.

Daniel Gibson recently told the Akron Beacon-Journal that the sprained ankle that has kept him out of action since mid-February is not his only ailment. Gibson is also nursing a deep bone bruise on his lower left leg. The Cavs guard will remain out for at least two more weeks leaving him with little fantasy value at this point of the season.

He made good progress on his injured ankle and stated, "I'm looking forward to playing again. I'm able to get on the court and shoot, and that's been good. I've started jogging. I'm geeked. I'm ready to get out there." Gibson averaged 11.5 points over 48 games this season.

Daniel Gibson told Ohio.com that he wasn't sure whether it was a high-ankle sprain or a low-ankle sprain that forced him to leave the Wednesday night contest. The report notes that the injury is more serious than Gibson or the team is letting on, possible the high variety. Gibson was scheduled to undergo an MRI today.

Daniel Gibson appeared to hurt his left ankle midway through the third quarter of Wednesday's game, according to Sports Network. The Pacers' Travis Diener and Gibson were both going for a loose ball when Diener collided with Gibson's lower left leg. Boobie had to be taken to the locker room. Gibson played just under 19 minutes Thursday, scoring five points and grabbing two rebounds, dropping his season averages to 11.6 points and 2.5 rebounds.

Cleveland point guard Daniel Gibson left in the fourth quarter of Thursday's loss to the Rockets with a strained right hamstring. Gibson who averages over 32 minutes and 11 points a game could only muster five points in 19 minutes, and didn't register a single assist the entire game. Gibson will be re-evaluated Friday morning to determine his status for the Atlanta game.
